I think it’s worth paying attention to the business Sunderland are doing and tracking how it plays out.
They’ve effectively sacked off any pretence of loyalty to the team that got them up and are stocking up on high potential players from the continent around the £20-25 million mark - talented enough, with top league experience to do the business now, but not so proven as to feel a Sunderland is beneath them.
We know we’re happy to be ruthless with the squad, if we were to go up this is exactly how I think our summer would play out.
