It was the summer window that did for Arsenal. They wasted £35m on Califiori who hasn't been a regular, and won't be with Lewis-Skelly on the scene, and another £30m on Merino, who they didn't need (bar sticking him up front when their strikers got injured). But the nail in the coffin was Sterling: An absolute dud.
TBF to them, I think they had PSR issues this season so didn't have much room for manoeuvre. They could still have been smarter about there business.
