Another insurance query. (5 replies)

Posted about this a couple of months back. Wife had a bump back in July - incredibly, still at the garage waiting headlamp and stuff.
Anyway, query is this. The insurance is up for renewal in a couple of weeks. Do I need to stay with our existing insurer who are 'dealing' with that claim/incident (I'd rather not- they've been shyte), or am I free to move to another insurer. Or, third option, does it need to be insured at all for the remainder of the time it's at the garage?
