Garmin smart Watches (5 replies)

I've had an instinct solar 2 for the last couple of years which has done me well but the battery is on its way out and only holds a charge for 3-4 days now .

I'm thinking of upgrading to the fenix 7 solar or 8 , anybody have one and what's the battery life like in reality ?

or any other recommendations re smart watches (? other than apple ) that talk to other apps especially strava

battery life and recording data for cycling are my main criteria
