Haven't drunk since July 2018. Just kinda stopped when the missis was away for a few weeks and felt odd boozing on my own. Then just carried on. Also that Adrian Chiles documentary about his drinking was on at the time. Used to love a drink when the kids were young - it was like a reward for getting them to sleep. Yeah it is boring not drinking and awkward socially but I don't regret it. But if you fancy a drink, do carry on. I am more than happy for others to partake.
