Euro-bound Poles sack head coach ahead of 2022 World Cup qualifiers
January 19 – Poland have sacked national coach Jerzy Brzeczek just five months before the European Championship and two months before the start of World Cup qualifying.
The Polish soccer federation did not give a reason for its decision or announce a replacement ahead of a news conference by federation president Zbigniew Boniek, one of the country’s finest ever players who took on the role after Poland finished last in its 2018 World Cup group.
