More Stakes Success for Wind and the Lion
Already a stakes-winner in Perth last spring, speedy three year-old Written By gelding Wind and the Lion claimed a second Black Type victory at Bunbury on Saturday when taking out the Listed HG Bolton Sprint (1200m).
Trained by Sean and Jake Casey and ridden by Willie Pike, Wind and The Lion started favourite and scored a half length win taking his overall record to three wins and two placings from 10 starts with prizemoney topping $425,000.

A $62,500 Magic Millions Book 2 purchase from Riverdene Stud for Shaun Nolen, he was re-offered at the Magic Millions 2YO’s in Training Sale where he made $200,000 for JCS Thoroughbreds when bought by Hancock Quality Bloodstock.
Wind and the Lion is the first and only foal for Mandalong Sera, a winning half-sister by Sebring to the dam of Group I winner Attrition and stakes-winner Royal Rumble.
Wind and the Lion is one of six stakes-winners for Written By, who stands at Widden NSW this spring at a fee of $22,000.
