Committee Announcement

The Committee of the Canberra Racing Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Clark as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Club.

Andrew has been acting in the role since the retirement of long serving CEO Peter Stubbs in October 2018 and will assume the role effective immediately.

Andrew has been an integral part of the Executive Team of the Club for the past 12 years as Chief Financial Officer.  A Canberra local, Andrew holds a double Degree in Economics and Commerce from the Australian National University and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia. 

“I am extremely proud to be appointed as CEO of the Canberra Racing Club, a Club I am so passionate about. I look forward to working with my team to continue the development of both the Canberra Racing Club and ACT Racing Industry as a whole” Clark said.

Canberra Racing Club Chairman Ian Mackay said “We are delighted that Andrew has accepted the role. He has the required skills, energy and passion to lead thoroughbred racing in Canberra into a bright new future.  He and his team have a proven track record that will ensure the Club capitalises on the opportunities ahead to support and develop the ACT Racing Industry”.
