Rotary donate funds raised from car parking at Thoroughbred Park

The Rotary Club of Australia have announced the recipients of the funds raised via Canberra Racing Club Melbourne Cup race day parking attendants. The $5 parking fee for vehicles utilising Thoroughbred Park’s carparks are:

L’Arche - Assist adults with disabilities to live independently in a home in Chifley. The Woden Rotary Club is looking to commit funds for the refurbishment of the home.

Drought Assistance - Woden Rotary Club is linking through the "School of the Air” to identify families in need of assistance

Acting CEO Andrew Clark said “Rotary have been on course directing the parking facilities at our major race days for many years and it is a fantastic opportunity for them to give back to the community in this way”.
