USDF Proposes Dues Increase for GMO Membership

dues

Lexington, KY - August 16, 2018

In an email USDF Senior Administration Coordinator Sarah Garn sent to all GMO Presidents, PM Delegates, and others, the USDF Executive Committee has announced they will be asking for a $4 increase to USDF GMO dues, effective for the 2019-2020 fiscal year (beginning December 1, 2019) at the upcoming Board of Governors meeting this fall at the USDF Convention in Salt Lake City. An excerpt from the letter from USDF President George Williams explains the proposed increase:

At the 2016 Board of Governors meeting, a Participating Membership dues increase was approved and went into effect December 1, 2017, for the 2018 membership year. We purposely held off on asking for an increase in the Group Member dues at that time. As a result, Group Member dues have remained unchanged since December 1, 2010.

To be clear, for the next USDF fiscal year 2019-2020, the proposed budget that the Executive Board is finalizing does include a Group Member dues increase of $4.00, from $20 to $24. This applies only to the individual/primary family member. The dues increase would become effective December 1, 2019, for the 2020 membership year; it will have been nine years since the last increase. The additional $4.00 works out to be an annual increase of just $.44.

Dues increases are voted on at the Board of Governors meeting.  WDCTA is requesting feedback from our Members on this dues increase. Please send your comments to either WDCTA President, your Chapter President, or one of our three Members at Large. Contacts for all Board members may be found here
