Canada Announces Eventing Team For Tokyo

All joking aside, how is it that with the small population in Canada and even smaller number of top riders does it seem to take forever with the national federation to announce teams for Tokyo Olympic Games?

I saw this on Facebook first which is the exact opposite of the way things are announced in most countries and do not even get me started with the selection process.
