STRICTLY’S Gorka Marquez apologised to Gemma Atkinson for missing her birthday – as he rehearsed with Maisie Smith instead.
The dancer, 30, is currently separated from his family as he takes part in the BBC dancing competition.
The ballroom star shared the sweet birthday message saying that he was “sad” that he could not be there to celebrate.
Gorka has been busy rehearsing with his celebrity partner for around ten hours each day.
Alongside a series of loved-up snaps, he wrote: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BABY!! Sad I can’t be there to celebrate with you and Mia your day like you deserve.
“You are the most amazing mum and girlfriend in the world! Kind, funny, humble, caring, talented, strong and I am so grateful to have you by my side.
“I’m sorry I can’t give you a birthday kiss but you have my kisses forever TE AMO Feliz cumpleaños.”
A number of fans commented on the touching post saying they were the perfect couple.
One fan wrote: “Happy Birthday Gemma, one of the loveliest couples to come out of Strictly. I think you were made for each other.”
Another posted: “I love the relationship between you, couple goals.”
A third added: “Happy birthday, you’re the sweetest couple.”
The former Emmerdale actress, 36, has recently shared Instagram clips of her 16-month-old Mia smiling and laughing as she watches her dad dance on the BBC One show with EastEnders star Maisie, 19.
The adorable kid couldn’t take her eyes off the screen as Gemma revealed they were watching Strictly on catch up.
She and Spaniard Gorka had their first child, daughter Mia, in July 2019.

And Gemma said the passion between her and the Strictly dancer is still strong.
She told The Sun: “People say to us that after having a baby the passion goes, but I don’t think the passion for him could ever go.
“Just sometimes it’s not a priority because you’re tired and you’ve got a baby.”
