Steph McGovern turned down the chance to take part inthis years Strictly Come Dancing.The 38-year-old TV presenter was approached by the showsbosses about being one of the contestants in the BBC Latin and ballroomdancing competition, but she turned down the offer as she was due to launch hernew daytime show.Speaking on Stephs Packed Lunch on Channel 4, shesaid I have actually been asked a couple of times. I got asked again thisyear but obviously, I had a show to launch.Steph was then asked by comedian Luke Kempner if shewould consider it next year, to which she replied Maybe, I dont know.She then asked her studio audience if she should takepart in the popular dance competition, and received an enthusiastic yes.It comes after Steph recently shut down rumours that hershow could face being axed due to low ratings. A Twitter user asked Is your show closing Steph responded with a clear Nope.The programme sees Steph joined by celebrity guests as theydiscuss food, intriguing real-life features and a mix of entertainment, lifestyle and consumer stories making the headlines.But the host was already nervous about her show failingbefore the launch.She explained Of course Im nervous. Ive startedhaving the dreams now where Im like, what if guests dont turn up or what ifthey all start swearing on air. But I dont know, thats also why I love it.Im an adrenaline junkie. Im someone who loves live telly and pushing myself.But yeah, when your names on the tin, theres no one else to blame if itsrubbish. If its rubbish, its my fault.
