What is Tommy Fury and Curtis Pritchard’s ITV show The Boxer and The Ballroom Dancer about?
TOMMY and Curtis may have found love in the villa with Molly-Mae and Maura respectively but they also struck up a special bromance on Love Island.
And now a new ITV spin-off show will be following them as they attempt each other’s professions. Here’s what we know about it…
What is Tommy Fury and Curtis Pritchard’s ITV show The Boxer and The Ballroom Dancer about?
Back in September, The Sun exclusively revealed that Curtis and Tommy would be swapping their respective professions for a new spin-off show.
A source said: “ITV wanted to explore a series for them, but didn’t just want a silly contrived fly-on-wall bromance type of show.
“Instead, they’ve come up with this career swap.”
And ITV have revealed what we should expect, saying: “The pals will undertake a new challenge as they switch jobs.
“Professional boxer, Tommy, will be swapping his boxing gloves for dancing shoes as he’ll take to the floor, training with a professional dancer for a ballroom competition.
“Meanwhile, former Dancing With The Stars professional, Curtis, will be entering the boxing ring.
“The gloves are off and he’ll be doing the rounds with a boxing coach – and have a little bit of help and guidance from world champ, Ricky Hatton – to get him ready for the fight of his life.”
There will be three one-hour long episodes to enjoy on ITV2 – though an official start date is yet to be confirmed.
What have Curtis and Tommy said about taking part in the new spin-off show?
Curtis said: “I am so excited to have my own show coming on ITV2 with my best mate Tommy. It is a dream come true. I am so up for the challenge and cannot wait to get in that boxing ring. I have been training with the best of the best and am looking forward to showing everyone my boxing ability!”
While Tommy revealed: “I am loving taking on the challenge of swapping my boxing gloves for dancing shoes and to do it all alongside my mate, Curtis, has been amazing. I can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve been working so hard for!”
And ITV Commissioning Editor for Factual Entertainment, Amanda Stavri, explained why they reckon the show will be a hit, saying: “This year’s Love Island bromance brought together two lads from completely different worlds.
“Now, they’re being parachuted into each other’s lives with hilarious consequences, as Tommy hits the ballroom dance floor and Curtis gloves up in the boxing ring.”
Who is Tommy Fury?
Tommy Fury is a 20-year-old boxer from Manchester.
His brother is professional boxer and champ Tyson Fury.
Before entering the Love Island villa, he admitted being too confident which can sometimes be his downfall, along with being too talkative and a bit lazy – however he proved to be a big hit on the show and came in second place with girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague.

Who is Curtis Pritchard?
Just like his big bro AJ Pritchard, Curtis, 23, is a professional dancer and choreographer.
Although he’s not on Strictly Come Dancing here in the UK, he was on the Irish equivalent Dancing With The Stars — which is how he met ex-girlfriend Emily Barker.
Thanks to his time on the dancing show, Curtis has already had a taste of fame before going on Love Island.
After a few partner swaps on the ITV2 show, he went on to rank fourth place with Maura Higgins on the show
