The ballroom dancer let slip the news on Good Morning Britain today when he was put on the spot over their relationship by presenters Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway.
When asked where Maura is the star, who has been hit by claims he is faking his relationship with Maura, said: “She’s gone to Ireland I believe.
“I can’t say what for, because it’s a surprise.
“I don’t want to say it, in case her brother is watching, because it is for a surprise.
“It’s her brother’s birthday and it’s a surprise party. There, I’ve said it. I hope he isn’t watching!”
Last week, 23-year-old Curtis took to Instagram to share how proud he was of his girlfriend after the pair smooched at her Boohoo clothing.
But not everyone was sold on their romantic story – with one fan claiming their lips don’t even touch.
He said: “Maura I’m here waiting for you, you’re in interviews at the moment and I just want to say congratulations on all the Boohoo stuff and I can’t wait to see you darling,” before making a kissing gesture into the camera.”
He added: “Here she is, beautiful, it’s her night tonight, special night, very proud of you,” before embracing in a brief peck on the lips.”
It is far from the first time their kisses have been slammed as fake by fans.
Even when Love Island was on air, the pair had their critics, with one fan tweeting: “I’m dead my mum is watching for the first time and she said maura and curtis are fake bc of their kiss.”
Another said: “Curtis and Maura’s “Kiss” in the beach hut just now proves how fake they are.”
A third joked: “I’m sorry Curtis looks so much more comfortable kissing and handling Tommy than he does Maura.”

The reality stars are currently enduring in a long distance relationship due to Curtis living in London and Maura often jetting home to Ireland.
Maura has also been accused of flirting with Love Island winner Greg O’Shea.
