‘Sex pest’ Maura made ‘inappropriate comments’ before Hideaway row, insists ex Tom Walker
LOVE Island’s Maura Higgins made inappropriate comments in the villa – before blasting him for doing the same thing, her ex Tom Walker has claimed.
The 28-year-old Irish grid girl came fourth in last night’s final alongside her 23-year-old ballroom dancer partner Curtis Pritchard.
But before they became a couple, Maura was with Tom, with the pair having a furious row after she overheard him wondering if she was “all mouth or not” before their night in the Hideaway.
In the bust-up that followed, she told him bitterly: “Go f**k yourself.”
However, speaking at The Sun’s Love Island screening party in London last night, the 29-year-old insisted she made very similar comments to the girls.
Tom told us: “She said when the text came through: ‘Someone’s going to get frisky.’
“That was the build-up to it. Michael had said: ‘I wonder if she’s all mouth’ and I just repeated it. It was thinking out loud rather than throwing it at her.”
He added that he had “reservations” about Maura before even going into the house after she was branded a “sex pest” for straddling Tommy Fury and trying to kiss him.
More recently, she came in for similar criticism for pressuring Curtis Pritchard for sex.
Model Tom explained: “There was a petition to get rid of her before I went in for the way she put herself onto Tommy, which I obviously saw, when he dodged a couple of kisses from her.
“If that had been a guy putting it on a girl like that there would have been an uproar. I think people were offended. I had seen that so I had reservations going in.
“But me and her did get on one-on-one. We did have a good relationship. She was giving out a lot of banter and she was taking banter.
“It was good fun. I said that comment and in hindsight I should shouldn’t have said it to the boys, I should have said it to her – but I was really surprised at her reaction.
“It was tongue-in-cheek. I didn’t expect anything from the Hideaway. I wasn’t going in hoping for a wild night of sex.

“She took it so literally and got so offended, I was quite shocked.
“One of the guys in the group, Michael, might have said: ‘I wonder if she’s all mouth’.
“I just repeated it. I was thinking out loud rather than throwing it at her.”
Viewers saw Maura kick off last month after overhearing what Tom had said, telling him: “You did not just say that. Why’d you say that?”
Having confirmed that he did, Maura said: “Wow. Are you f**king joking? That’s a d**khead comment.”
