Love Island’s Curtis’s father wants him to couple up with Maura Higgins after sexy dance lessons
CURTIS Pritchard’s dad has urged his son to couple up with Irish beauty Maura Higgins, believing they’re a perfect match.
The ballroom dancer, 23, dumped distraught air hostess Amy Hart, 26, last Friday after admitting doubts about their relationship.
And having struck up an unlikely attraction with Maura following her plea for a dance lesson, fellow Islanders are convinced they’ll couple up at the next re-coupling – much to the frustration of Amy, who never received a lesson from Curtis during their time together.
Dance teacher Adrian, 62, thinks Maura is better suited to his son than Amy, telling The Sun: “Maura seems to be on a similar wavelength to Curtis.
“Like him, she is the life and soul of the party and someone you would want to have around.
“I think they could be better suited than him and Amy. I’m looking forward to seeing where it leads with them.”
Curtis and Amy’s break-up caused shockwaves in the villa, with fellow contestants and viewers believing they were dead certs to stay together.
Love struck Amy spoke of her desire to settle down with Curtis after the show and for him to get to know her beloved godchildren.
But her hopes were dashed after Curtis’s head was turned by a batch of new girls who entered the villa – namely Jourdan Riane – while Amy and the rest of the original female contestants spent four days at the nearby Casa Amor with six new hunks.
Adrian believes the flak Curtis received for dumping Amy was unfair, claiming he should be saluted for being honest.
He said: “The last thing Curtis wants to do is hurt anybody, it’s difficult to see him looking upset.
“I feel for Amy too, as a parent, but Curtis lives from his heart and he is a feeling person, but that shows he is being honest.
“He is being truthful. I know he is hurting a lot I can see in his body language. He is just asking if it’s the right person.”
Adrian also feels Amy got too engrossed in the relationship, given she’s only known Curtis for “a matter of weeks”.
He explained: “I think Amy has fallen quite hard, it’s only a matter of weeks, which is nothing in today’s world, they’re getting to know each other.
“Curtis is just thinking if it’s right.
“He wants it perfect – he doesn’t want to hurt her, he didn’t do anything behind her back.
“Curtis is hurting as well, I hope people realise that too.

“If everybody was as honest as Curtis we wouldn’t have so many divorces.
“I have respect for Curtis, he’s not trying to hide anything.
“It’s terrific. He wants to find love, he is looking for a girlfriend.”
