DanceSport 2019 WDC European Professional Latin American Championship in Moscow

On 13th of April 2019 WDC European Professional Latin American Championship will take place in Kremlin Palace, and couples from more than 20 countries will take part in it. 

Starting from 2002, when the first WDC European Professional Latin American championship was held in Russia, championships of this status were conducted in our country many times. The level of the competition can be proved by the fact, that legendary dancers became winners of it on Russian dance floor: multiple times world champions Bryan Watson and Carmen (Germany), Michael Malitowski and Joanna Leunis (Great Britain). Later the winners were famous dancers Andrej Skufca and Melinda (Slovenia). Out of russian couples, the highest title in Moscow Kremlin was granted to Russian champions, World Championship finalists Sergey Surkov and Melia.

Again the best dancers of Europe will present to the audience a great battle for the title of the winners. Dorin Frecautanu and Marina Sergeeva from Moldova have become European champions already twice. Last year they proved their title, which they originally won in 2017 in Moscow. 

European Vice-champions 2018 were Russian dancers Nikita Brovko and Olga Urumova, our this year's Russian vice-champions. And the bronze medals were given to Nino Langella and Andra Vaidilaite from Italy. For sure, they have plans to get higher.

Same as the other absolutely amazing couples, who are finalists and semifinalists of all the major competitions in 2018. These are Pavel Zvychainy and Oksana Lebedev(Germany), Massimo Arcolin and Laura Zmajkovikova (Italy). The foreign stars group also contains Manuel Frigetto and Daria Sereda (Italy), Gunnar Gunnarson and Marika Doshoris (Great Britain), Mark Jiménez and Valeria Urimahava (Spain), Kremlin cup 2018 finalists Stefano Moriondo and Daria Glukhova (Italy).

Russia will be represented by European championships' vice-champions and multiple times World Championships finalists Kirill Belorukov-Polina Teleshova and Nikita Brovko-Olga Urumova, Russian Championship 2018 bronze medalists Vladimir Litvinov-Olga Nikolaeva, Russian championship finalists Kirill Voronin-Tatiana Kosenko, Andrey and Anastasia Kiselevi, also Anton and Valeria Semenovi. 

As a contrast to Latin American rhythms, ballroom music will also be played in Kremlin. For Ballroom Kremlin Cup the best amateur couples of the world will gather, including Russian champions Fedor Isaev and Anna Zudilina, who won all the major international championships in 2018: Blackpool, International and UK.

The list of showdance will include the best couples of the world in Exhibition. First of all, it will be legendary Victor da Silva with Anna Melnikova, also a show with his new partner, Amor from South Africa, will be performed by Russian Exhibition champion 2018 Igor Alferov. And as a good tradition already, again Argentine tango will be danced on Kremlin floor by World champions Dmitry Vasin and Sagdiana.

The competitions and the general dancing will be held with the music of jazz band "Danceland" and group "7 Winds" under the leading of honorary artist of Russia George Musheev.

The guests will be comfortably placed at the elegantly served tables on different levels, that provides a good view of the dance floor. On the tables there will be light snacks, fruits, wine and water.

The organizer of this event and its constant master of ceremony is honorary worker of arts of Russian Federation, RDU President, WDC Honorary Vice-President, APDC Vice-President Stanislav Popov.
