2026 Road, Gravel, And MTB Preliminary Race Calendars Are Now Online!

0 2

Ontario Cycling (OC) is excited to share the preliminary 2026 calendar for the Road, Gravel, and Mountain Bike disciplines. Be sure to review the calendar regularly, as additional events will be added the calendar as they are sanctioned throughout the season. Races will take place across the province, ranging from charity rides to the Ontario Cup series, along with numerous regional competitions in between ensuring there is something for everyone. Don’t miss the chance to challenge yourself at a local OC sanctioned event while also enjoying Ontario’s breathtaking landscapes and diverse terrain during the upcoming race season.

Our preliminary road calendar not only includes road races, but time trials, criteriums, charity rides, and gran fondos. For the 2026 OCup Road Series we are pleased to announce 7 OCup rounds this season at 4 events; 2 events making up 5 scoring opportunities with a double header Crit/Road Race in Northumberland and 3 of 4 stages (ITT, Crit, and Road Race) at the Kingston Stage Race being sanctioned as OCups. Additionally, OC is pleased to announce that our partnership with Greg Rawson of Performance Driven Events is renewed for the 2026 season with 3 Provincial Championships (Time Trial, Crit, and Road Race). The 2026 series will see a new addition with Clarence Rockland Classic coming on as the first Gravel OCup, a great early season test the week before P2A/Almonte Paris-Roubaix in the greater Ottawa area.  TDVI also returns to the OCup series adding an additional Crit opportunity in the southwest end of the province at an early date to bring the early season to an end in late May.  Making for a truly diverse Road OCup Series with 1x Gravel, 3x Crit, 2x Road Race, and 1x ITT races. With this unseen variety, Ontario Cycling will be bringing back the best 5 of 7 races to the point tabulation for the OCup series. Where the 2 races each rider scores the least amount of points at or zero points are dropped from the points tabulation; if the series is 1-4 events no races will be dropped from the points, if 5-6 events one event will be dropped, and two events if 7 or more events. The Provincial Championship will be a triple header with the Crit, Time Trial, and Road Race on the same weekend in the Ottawa area on new courses!

OC is also pleased to announce confirmation of one Youth Road event at the proven Midweek Tahoe Blvd Crit circuit. Other events returning to the calendar are the Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour, Preston Street Crit, The HunTer Fondo, and Share the Road Gran Fondo.

The highly anticipated Paris to Ancaster is returning for another year, so be sure to mark your calendars! For riders in the east end of the province don’t miss kicking off your season that same weekend with Almonte Paris-Roubaix. Melrose Gravel Tour will also be returning in 2026 to the Belleville area.   With the Wolfe Island Gravel Grinder capping the gravel season September 26th.

MTB OCups/Provincials will see the return of the spectator friendly Short Track (XCC) and Team Relay events. Whether you are a fan of watching or competing it appears 2026 will be another exciting year for MTB riders in the province with the return of some classic events. The 2026 OCup MTB series will once again be hosted by local clubs and organizers, with 4 OCups confirmed in the series. Returning to the series will be Highlands Nordic, Hardwood Ski & Bike, Hiawatha Highlands in Sault Ste. Marie, as well as Boler Mountain returning for its second season back on the MTB series. The fourth and final round of the series at Hiawatha Highlands being a double header with the XCM National Championships on the Saturday 5th, followed by the XCO OCup on the Sunday 6th.  Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get some northern Ontario technical riding in to finish the summer, riders making the drive and competing Sunday will be rewarded with a double OCup points scoring opportunity.  The Shredders MTB Club will be stepping up to host the 2026 Mountain Bike Provincial Championships at Woodnewton the weekend of September 11th-13th, the event will continue to include XCC, Team Relay, and XCO races.

Outside of our OCup series, MTB events returning to the calendar in 2026 include Hardwood events such as the Single Track Classic, Wednesday Night Race Series, Women’s 4 Hour Relay, and Summer/Fall Epic 8 Hours. In addition to the Tour of Kincardine returning the last weekend in May for a fun blast through winding trails in the Huron community.  We will be continuing to add more events to our calendar, so be sure to keep checking!
