A Path to Reconciliation in Sport

June is National Indigenous History Month, and Sport Manitoba Coaching, the Manitoba Aboriginal Sports & Recreation Council, and the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation are offering this course for 2 PD points at no charge.

During this session, coaches will learn about the history of colonization, assimilation, and residential schools in Canada and the role sport has to play in the path of reconciliation. Coaches will learn about the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action 87-91 and leave the session with clear steps on how to respond to these Calls to Action and implement them into their sport programming.

Tuesday, June 8
6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Zoom – link will be emailed to all registered participants
