Olympics | Britain break world record to win gold in women's cycling team sprint

PARIS, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Britain set a new world record of 45.186 seconds in winning the gold medal in the women's team sprint at the Paris Olympics on Monday.

The trio of Katy Marchant, Sophie Capewell and Emma Finucane beat the New Zealand team of Rebecca Petch, Shaane Fulton and Ellesse Andrews, who finished in 45.659 seconds.
