Cycling: Frenchman Alaphilippe wins road race gold medal at world championships

IMOLA, Italy (Reuters) – France’s Julian Alaphilippe won the road race gold medal at the cycling world championships on Sunday.
Belgian Wout van Aert took silver and Swiss Marc Hirschi claimed bronze.
