This is the beast of the Alpine stages. The Madeleine is a hard starter and the new Col de la Loze climb promises a brutal finale if the GC contenders want to do battle.

I'm guessing another break will get enough time in the 90 km before we hit the Madeleine, Jumbo have to be smart with their resources on a finish like this and there aren't that many they need to worry about getting up the road anymore. And we also know Martínez is a guy with the legs to finish off the job.
