Bent rear dropout

I noticed a while ago that one of the rear dropouts on my aluminum alloy road bike frame was slightly bent. Does it make any sense to offset the rear wheel a bit to make it centered in the rear triangle? As I have heard that bending aluminum frames can cause them to break or loose structural...
