First one night tour in SF Bay Area

Got the touring bug. Decided to start with a one night trip. Looking for a location to camp out for one night around Palo Alto - i don't want to go too far on the first trip. There is no availability on Black Mountain for the days i'm planning to go. Any tips/suggestions?
