A New Tactical Idea?

In my previous post, I presented an attacking gem won by Komodo against a lesser (but still very strong) computer rival. In this entry, I present a game played by humans, but demonstrating a remarkable tactical idea found by Stockfish running on my computer. It's from the game Rubinstein-Spielmann, San Sebastian 1912, a fascinating game I'm presenting in a forthcoming video for ChessLecture.com. For the full analysis, join ChessLecture and watch the show (plug, plug), but because I've never seen a tactic like this one before I thought to share it with all of you.
Have a look, and if you can think of any similar cases, please share the game reference(s) in the comments.
