(It's a week old, but as Notre Dame had this weekend off we're caught up.)
Notre Dame recovered from a disappointing loss to now #3 Cincinnati by defeating a good Virginia Tech team in a close game, 32-29. (Oddly, this was their second win of the season with that exact, very unusual score.) That brings their season record to 5-1, and this coming Saturday the #14 Fighting Irish will take on (and crush) USC.
