Legendary '80s Rock Frontwoman Announces Special Tour

Ann Wilson, the frontwoman of legendary rock group Heart, is going on tour in 2026—with a twist.

The 75-year-old musician has announced that she'll be touring the U.S. and Canada to promote her upcoming documentaryIn My Voice, which tells the story of her career from a first-hand perspective.

The tour will reportedly feature screenings and subsequent Q&A sessions where fans can ask the legendary rock star about her career after watching her story unfold in the anticipated documentary. Director Barb Hall will also be in attendance.

Though many fans have been hoping for a musical tour from Wilson for some time, this screening tour is an opportunity to get to know the woman behind the music with fresh insight and personal questions.

"[The tour] is about finding my voice, keeping it alive and sharing the journey with the people who’ve been part of it all along," Wilson expressed in a statement via Louder.

Though Wilson has been hesitant to give full-length interviews about her career, this tour will give fans the opportunity to ask questions individually: "It might be difficult for people to come up with questions to ask because we don’t really leave anything out [of the film],” she added. “But I’m sure there are a couple of things that are so juicy that people will want to get into it more.” (via Variety)

In My Voice does not currently have theatrical distribution—though Wilson's upcoming tour means it will likely be picked up, at least in the U.S. and Canada, so more audiences can access the film. Plans for a streaming release have not been confirmed.

Heart are best known for their '80s hits including "Alone" and "These Dreams", which both peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Their debut self-titled album also climbed to No. 1 on the U.S. Albums Chart. The record has since been certified 5x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

The group officially disbanded in 1998, though several members have intermittently returned for tours and one-off performances in the decades since. Ann Wilson and her sister Nancy Wilson remain the only two members to have stayed consistently with the band through every performance.
