Margot Robbie's Drastic New Look Sends Clear Message Immediately After 'Wuthering Heights'

0 0

Margot Robbie is kissing Cathy goodbye just after the Wuthering Heights press tour, with one drastic hairstyle change.

On Monday, the actress debuted a sharp new bob at the Chanel AW26 show during Paris Fashion Week, swapping her signature romantic waves for a blunt, architectural crop cut by celebrity hairstylist Cervando Maldonado.

For the past year, Robbie's hair has been almost as central to her public image as the role itself. Throughout the press tour for Wuthering Heights, her locks told Catherine Earnshaw's story off-screen as much as on — intricate knotted up-dos on the red carpet, symbolic plaits in the film, a constant through-line of romanticism and period femininity. That chapter is now, apparently, firmly closed.

What is Margot Robbie's New Hairstyle?

Celebrity hairstylist Tom Smith describes the new style as an elevated blunt bob where every element feels intentional and architectural. It's side-parted, tucked behind one ear, and finished with a choppy fringe — sharp and modern in a way that contrasts sharply with everything Robbie has worn on a red carpet in recent memory. "It signals a new chapter," Smith said. "Robbie's hair became playful with Barbie and ultra-feminine with Wuthering Heights, but her new style speaks to maturity. It's quite a cool look for her. In the past, her styles have been more people pleasing and classic girl next door, but this style gives her an edge."

Actors often talk about shedding a role after filming wraps. For Robbie, the shed appears to be literal.
