Nancy Guthrie Update: Latest News Sparks Prayers and Concern
Officials and police continued to investigate into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie on Friday, Feb. 27, as the search for the mother of "Today" show co-host Savannah Guthrie went into day 27.
It's been since Feb. 1 that Nancy Guthrie went missing from her Tucson, Arizona, home. Authorities believe she was taken against her will. As the search for Nancy Guthrie continues, it's nearing the fourth week of investigating, which is concerning.
On Friday, Savannah Guthrie reshared the FBI's tip line with a clip from "Today," where her fellow anchors explained how to access the tip line and give helpful information.
"Please - be the one that brings her home," Savannah stated in a caption. "Tips can be anonymous, reward can be paid in cash, as explained here."
She added in the post, "Call 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) NOTE: Family reward of up to $1 million will be paid only for recovery of Nancy Guthrie, consistent with FBI criteria for payment of its reward in this case."
In the clip, Savannah's "Today" co-anchor Craig Melvin talked with NBC correspondent Liz Kreutz about how the FBI ensures that people who call get to stay anonymous. Kreutz said that "experts" are handling the situation and that people who call in a qualifying tip are able to pick up their reward at a "neutral location." Also, collecting the award doesn't require an ID. "Experts say it is really not traceable and no questions asked," she stated.

"Thinking of you and your family every day, Lord we need you. Bring her home," one person stated. "Lord please bring her home. I think she’s still alive," another added. "God is preparing to bring her home to Savannah," one more stated.
"Please bring her home," another added. "Lord I pray that you place your hands on Nancy and entire Guthrie family. Lord you are good and you are always by our side, praying for her safe return."
"So devastating. Hope she's brought to you soon," another follower stated. "This is heart wrenching, I have been praying all month for your mom's safe return. I will continue to pray until you have her back," one more added.
Experts Watching 10,000 Hours of Video to Aid in the Search Efforts for Nancy Guthrie
On Friday, the FBI announced that they've collected as many as 10,000 hours of video in the investigation into the disappearance and abduction of Nancy Guthrie, according to research from NBC News. One of the key videos is Ring camera footage, which was obtained by Fox News Digital, that shows a car driving around 2:30 a.m. the same evening Guthrie disappeared.
On Thursday, Feb. 26, the Pima County sheriff’s office said it had access to the video, which was filmed 2.5 miles from Guthrie’s home. They were late getting to it, because 2.5 miles is outside the two-mile perimeter that officials had been looking at for video footage.
