New 'Resident Evil Requiem' Gameplay Revealed
We're only 52 days away from the release of Resident Evil Requiem, one of the most anticipated games of 2026. Despite developer Capcom keeping its cards very close to its chest and revealing very little about the game, we finally have new but very brief gameplay, along with some new information about the PC version.
In a new trailer from NVIDIA GeForce, Path Tracing has been confirmed as a graphical feature. The game will also use RTX upscaling, and the trailer shows the differences between having RTX on and off, using the city's streets, rain, and buildings to highlight the technology.
Additionally, the game's frame rate will be accelerated using DLSS 4, according to the trailer. The trailer then shows the new gameplay for the first time, which depicts one of the game's lead characters, Grace Ashcroft, walking down a busy city street. The streets are full of cars, NPCs, rain, and other particle effects.
The trailer also shows some areas we've seen in previous trailers or gameplay demonstrations, highlighting the game's dual camera perspective gameplay, as well as frame rate estimations with DLSS 4.
Though very brief, a living city with a lot of NPCs is a first for the series and may indicate Resident Evil Requiem will be a bigger game than some may be expecting. That, of course, is just speculation, but previous reports from notable leaker Dusk Golem allege that Resident Evil Requiem may be Capcom's most ambitious RE title to date.
Resident Evil Requiem is releasing on February 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
