Why We Love This Deal

Adidas is in the middle of its End of Year sale with big discounts (up to 60% off) across the brand’s massive lineup of footwear and apparel. The sale even includes some coveted gear from its Terrex line, like these Gore-Tex hiking shoes, this insulated jacket, and a hardy waterproof anorak that’s perfect for skiing and snowboarding this season.

The Adidas Terrex Xploric 2 Layer Lined Climaproof Anorak is on sale for $186, a 40% discount from its normal price of $310. This ski and snowboard jacket offers reliable protection from snow, wind, and cold along with good breathability and room to move.

What Shoppers Should Know

  • Colorways Available: 1
  • Sizes Available: S-2XL
  • Shell: 100% recycled polyester
  • Inner Lining: 100% polyurethane
  • Waterproof: Yes

The Xploric 2-Layer anorak features a shell made from recycled polyester, and it’s paired with a Climaproof polyurethane inner liner that blocks water and also vents heat and moisture, so you don’t roast when working hard. Large pit zippers help you dump excess heat if you do work up a sweat. The attached hood is cinchable for a snug fit, and a built-in visor helps keep falling snow out of your eyes (or off your goggles). Hook and loop closures on the cuffs create a tight seal around your gloves, and a snow skirt (secured with snap buttons) keeps fluff from riding up into your jacket when you’re gliding through powder.

Some shoppers say the anorak runs large, others say it fits true to size. In the official sizing guide, Adidas claims it runs true to size, though it also states the jacket has a relatively roomy fit for good freedom of movement. If you prefer a looser fit that will accommodate insulating layers underneath (more on that below), choose your normal size. If you want a more fitted look and feel, size down.

The Xploric is a shell, and it lacks insulation. For cold weather adventures, wear it over an insulated midlayer like this Terrex Xperior Primaloft jacket. Prefer to just wear one jacket? Opt for a layer that’s waterproof and insulated, like the Terrex Multi 2L Rain.Rdy Insulated jacket

What Shoppers Are Saying

Although the Xploric doesn’t have a ton of reviews, the reviews it does have are overwhelmingly positive. Shoppers praised its “comfy” feel and said it’s “effective against water,” so falling snow (or taking a spill into a snowbank) won’t leave you soaked and freezing. The anorak design—a partial zipper instead of a full zipper—is a bit unusual for a snowsports jacket like this, but shoppers say it works well and is a “great snowboarding jacket.”

Terrex gear always sells fast when on sale, and with ski and snowboard season in full swing, this Xploric anorak won’t stay in stock long at 40% off—in fact, one size is already sold out. Grab one for your snowsports arsenal today before these high-performance jackets disappear.
