'Landman' Star Announces Huge Personal News Ahead of Season 2
One of the stars of Taylor Sheridan's "Landman" has announced some huge personal news ahead of Season 2.
Kayla Wallace, a 32-year-old Canadian actress, plays a lawyer in the hit show about the Texas oil industry. Wallace's character, Rebecca Falcone, is a hotshot lawyer who helps out Billy Bob Thornton's character's company, as they deal with a number of different issues in the multi-billion dollar industry in West Texas.
Season 2 of the show, which also stars Jon Hamm and Demi Moore, will feature the prominent actor, Sam Elliott. The longtime Hollywood star will be playing the father of Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton's character) in Season 2.
Wallace, who is from Vancouver Island, British Columbia, announced on Instagram that she and her husband, actor Kevin McGarry, are expecting a child. The big news broke just days before the premiere of Season 2 of "Landman."
"We can’t wait to meet you, baby♥️ Premiering 2026," she announced on her Instagram page, which has close to 200,000 followers.
Congratulations quickly poured in on social media, with fans and fellow actors getting excited over the "Landman" star's big personal news.
"I am soooooo incredibly thrilled for you both," one fan wrote.
"Full body chills the announcement is here," another fan added.
"Congratulations !!!! To both of you and a sweet little McGarry on his/her way !!! A little angel," one fan added.
Season 2 of 'Landman' comes out on Sunday night, Nov. 16
Season 2's first episode, which is titled "Death and a Sunset," is set to come out on Sunday evening, Nov. 16, airing on Paramount Plus.
Elliott, a longtime Hollywood star, spoke with USA Today about joining "Landman" for its second season. He previously worked with Taylor Sheridan on "1883."
"I told Taylor that offers come in, but that he really spoiled me with '1883.' That I was having a nice time at home. And Taylor wrote back, saying, 'I'm going to get your (butt) back to work.' That was his comment. I didn't know what he was talking about," Elliott explained to the outlet.
Elliott added that he was dealing with a medical issue at the time of the offer: "Taylor told me, 'Buddy, I'm not going without you.' It was the greatest gift."
Wallace, meanwhile, is excited for what is to come in Season 2 of the hit show.
"Getting so close you can feel the fire ???? Nov 16 ," she posted on Instagram earlier this fall.
The first episode of Season 2 airs Sunday night. Season 2 will consist of 10 episodes.
