Why We Love This Deal

Brooks has been cruising through summer and fall with all-new models in its Ghost, Adrenaline GTS, and Glycerin collections. The downside here is that there hasn't been much to report about deals on Brooks' running shoes. However, just a couple of days ago, the brand unveiled a surprise markdown on one of its high-stack and very well-cushioned models—it's $50 off, and sizes are flying off the shelves.

The Brooks Glycerin Max is on sale for $150, a rare 25% discount off its normal price of $200. This deal is especially notable because, in most cases, Brooks shoes with any markdown above 20% typically have very limited sizes left. That said, sizes do seem to be selling at an alarming rate, and they could be gone by the end of the week. If your size is gone, look over at Dick’s Sporting Goods, where even more colorways are in stock at the same price.

What Shoppers Should Know

  • Colorways Available: 3, all on sale
  • Sizes Available: 9½-13, 15
  • Best Use Case: Everyday training, easy runs, long runs, walking

The Glycerin Max is a puffed-up version of the Brooks Glycerin, a well-cushioned workhorse trainer. As you’d expect, the Max dials up the cush factor to 11: Its midsole features two layers of nitrogen-infused DNA Tuned foam.

The foam has tiny nitrogen bubbles throughout, which makes it lighter, softer, and very springy underfoot. The sole has a rockered shape to ease your feet from landing to toe off, and it’s topped with a mesh upper that has a well-padded ankle collar for a snug fit.

This discount comes after Brooks announced the Glycerin Max 2, which is now available for preorder. There seem to be only minor differences, which is likely based on the success of the first iteration. For our money, it's likely worth opting for the first model and saving a little in the process.

What Shoppers Are Saying

Brooks shoppers are lighting up the reviews section with positive feedback for the Glycerin Max. Overall, reviewers say it’s a fantastic training shoe that excels during long runs and keeps your feet and legs feeling fresh for longer.

One said it promotes an “efficient stride and quicker pace with less effort.” Another shopper agreed, calling it a “perfect daily trainer” that’s “cushy but still responsive.” One shopper went even further and called the Glycerin Max superior to Hoka’s Bondi 9, a famously comfortable max-cushion shoe.

The Glycerin Max is selling fast—one colorway is already almost completely sold out, and the other two are flying off the shelves. Grab your pair for $50 off before they’re gone for good.
