Barack Obama Anniversary Message to Wife Michelle Going Viral Friday
Barack and Michelle Obama are celebrating an important milestone Friday--their 33rd wedding anniversary.
The Obamas were married in 1992 and have two children together, daughters daughters Malia, 27, and Sasha, 24. Despite rumors of potential marriage strife and divorce earlier this year, it seems like they are going strong.
Barack, 64, shared a heartfelt message for his bride, 61, on social media earlier today.
"The best decision I ever made was marrying you, @MichelleObama. For 33 years, I’ve admired your strength, grace, and determination — and the fact that you look so good doing it all. Happy anniversary!" Barack wrote.

Michelle herself returned the favor, adding her own message on her social media pages.
"We've been on quite the journey over the last 33 years—and yet, I love you even more today than the day we said 'I do,'" she wrote. "Happy anniversary, @BarackObama! I'm so lucky to go through life with you."
The Obamas get candid about their marriage
Earlier this year, there were reports that Barack and Michelle were on the outs and heading toward divorce.
They seemed to stem from the fact Michelle skipped a number of public events, including Jimmy Carter's funeral and the inauguration of President Donald Trump, leaving her husband to attend solo.
“The interesting thing is that, when I say ‘no,’ for the most part people are like, ‘I get it, and I’m OK,’” Michelle explained back in April, via TODAY. “That’s the thing that we as women, I think we struggle with disappointing people. So much so that this year people were — they couldn’t even fathom that I was making a choice for myself that they had to assume that my husband and I are divorcing.”
While both Obamas have made it clear their relationship isn't in trouble, Barack did admit during a recent appearance in London that he was in "a hole" in his marriage following the completion of his two terms as President, because of the toll the job had taken.
“I was digging myself out of the hole I found myself with Michelle,” Obama said, via the Daily Mail. “Now I’m at about level ground.”
