New Member - Hi
Hi,
Was searching on line for a site regarding paddling. Came across this one and having read a few of the blogs am glad I did. Everyone seems helpful and informative.
My name is Kay and both myself and my partner Brian got into canoeing a couple of years ago, just going out when away on holidays with a local canoeing group either on rivers or the sea. Last year we finally brought our own canoe and living just outside London have taken it on the Thames a few times.
We are hoping to take it out a lot more this year and will probably be seeking advice, later down the line. Especially as I retire next year and Brian 6 months after. We then intend to take to the water more often and will likely make use of some of the rivers that members have posted details on.
I must put my hands up, from the start and say that we dont have a Canadian canoe, but instead have a inflatable two-person canoe. Very little storage space and easily transported. I hope we will still be welcome.
Well heres hoping to getting to know you all better in the future and maybe even meeting some of you on the meets I keep seeing mentioned. The first piece of advice Im seeking is where on the website would I be able to find details of the various meets held.
