Chase for the Salmon Speed Record
A 24-hour rowing attempt at the distance paddling world record by Idaho rafters Jon Barker, Ian Faurot and Shane Moser broke the distance record, setting a new 282-mile mark by using a single cataraft and linking sections of Idaho's Salmon River system, 52 hours before four kayakers reset the record at 287.5 miles on the same route.
