MVP is currently in negotiations with Matchroom to make a fight between Jake Paul and AJ.

As MVP’s CEO Nakisa Bidarian talks to Sky Sports, he tells the outlet that they still have genuine interest in matching Jake Paul up against Anthony Joshua and talking with Turki Alalshikh to make a fight he believes would be a monumental showdown.

“I think the fight can absolutely happen,” Bidarian told Sky Sports News. “I’m looking at it as Jake versus Joshua, which is quite biblical, and it’s quite impactful in many ways.

“I think size wise, we can get comfortable with it, and I think experience wise, Jake is learning very fast and growing, and Joshua is a little long in the tooth. So it could be a very interesting matchup, and we’re actively discussing it with Matchroom.”

Bidarian says so far they are looking to stage the fight in early 2026 as Joshua recovers from an elbow surgery following his loss to Daniel Dubois, but as soon as Joshua is ready to go they will also be.

Paul apparently feels extremely confident in his chances to beat the former heavyweight champion and Bidarian believes it’s an event that might be well suited for Wembley Stadium, where Paul would invite the boos from 90,000 fans.

It’s obviously a bit of an understatement to state that this would be a huge step up for Paul, who is most recently coming off a win over a long-faded Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, but the audiences he draws cannot be overlooked which makes this appear as having a real possibility of taking place.
