Turki Alalshikh is looking to February for Canelo Alvarez vs Hamzah Sheeraz.

Turki Alalshikh says that Hamzah Sheeraz could get his shot at Canelo Alvarez in early 2026, and that the rematch with Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn is still being discussed, with a possible delay for later this year.

Alalshikh said today during the Usyk vs Dubois card that February is the target for Canelo to face Sheeraz, who earned his spot in line to face Canelo — as things stand now — with his recent win over Edgar Berlanga.

Canelo, of course, is slated to face Terence “Bud” Crawford, with Canelo’s undisputed claim and all four belts on the line on September 13 in Las Vegas. If Crawford were to beat Alvarez in September, obviously plans would change, but Alalshikh isn’t afraid to think ahead, as we’ve seen with scheduling Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez vs Fernando Martinez for November, while Rodriguez defends his title later tonight against Phumelela Cafu. Plans, one assumes, are in place for Cafu to instead face Martinez should he score an upset this evening.

Alalshikh also spoke on the ongoing issues with Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn, who had their rematch officially announced for September 20, before all hell broke loose in the negotiations and the Eubank side reportedly said they wouldn’t be ready by then.

The Riyadh Season promoter now says that there are talks to move the fight to November. Riyadh Season look set to move to one major card per month, but an exception could be made in a situation like that. Alalshikh will also promote a card headlined by David Benavidez vs Anthony Yarde on November 22 in Riyadh, while the Eubank vs Benn rematch has been targeted for the United Kingdom.
