‘Less heart, more brains’: Benn talks adjustments for Eubank Jr rematch
Conor Benn will look to tweak some things in order to avenge his loss to Chris Eubank Jr.
As Conor Benn looks towards his official rematch with Chris Eubank Jr scheduled for September 20 in London, Benn knows he’ll need to do some things a bit differently if he’s to come out on the winning side this time around. As Benn spoke to Sky Sports over the weekend, he’s looking to still bring the fight to Eubank Jr but be a bit more cerebral about his approach.
“I’m going to go in there and steam straight into him. Same as the first one, less emotional, shall we say. Less heart, more brains, you know?”
Benn goes on to say that experience is a good teacher and that he’s learned from his mistakes in the first fight and will be making the necessary corrections so that he doesn’t put himself in vulnerable positions.
Whether Benn will actually be able to make the required adjustments to get the edge over the naturally bigger Eubank Jr is a question that remains to be seen, but he’ll certainly be giving it all he’s got.
