Fury names date and venue for 2026 trilogy fight with Usyk
Tyson Fury says the date and venue are set for a third fight with Oleksandr Usyk.
Tyson Fury has confirmed his intentions to return to the ring in 2026 for a third fight with Oleksandr Usyk, saying the bout is tentatively set and naming a date and venue.
Fury posted on social media that the fight will happen on April 18, 2026, at London’s Wembley Stadium. Turki Alalshikh said yesterday that Usyk vs Fury 3 would happen next year, with Fury coming out of his fake retirement.
Fury has recently shifted his belief that fighting Usyk twice in Riyadh resulted in “unfair” decisions, particularly in their second bout last year, which Usyk won via unanimous decision. Apparently, the only way Fury (34-2-1, 24 KO) believes he can get a fair shake is to fight in England, where he hasn’t fought since his 2022 win over Derek Chisora at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Usyk (23-0, 14 KO) is already set for a fight at Wembley on July 19, when he’ll face Daniel Dubois to re-unify the four-belt, undisputed crown. Usyk is defending the WBC, WBA, and WBO titles, with Dubois bringing the IBF belt to the fight. Usyk had to vacate the IBF title in order to go through with the second Fury fight last year.
For what it’s worth, Usyk is 3-0 fighting in the United Kingdom, with wins over Tony Bellew in 2018, Derek Chisora in 2020, and Anthony Joshua in 2021.
Usyk’s team tell Sky Sports that this fight “has been on the table,” and it sounds like they do expect it will happen, if you’re wondering about the other side of this, or if Fury is simply saying things to hear himself talk.
