Actress Valerie Mahaffey From “Northern Exposure” and “Desperate Housewives” Dead at 71 – Entertainment News

Emmy award-winning TV, stage and film actor Valerie Mahaffey died of cancer on 30 May. She was 71.
Mahaffey had a career which spanned nearly 50 years and was known for her Emmy winning role as Eve on “Northern Exposure”. She also starred as Alma Hodge on “Desperate Housewives”, teacher Victoria MacElroy on “Young Sheldon” and had a recurring role as Lorna Harding on “Dead to Me”.
She won two Obie awards for her roles in “Top Girls” and “Talking Heads”.
Valerie Mahaffey was born in Indonesia on 16 June 1953.
She is survived by her husband Joseph Kell and daughter Alice.
