Whyte to return from injury in June 7 fight
Dillian Whyte will make his way back to the ring next month at Portman Road.
Dillian Whyte is reportedly set to return from an injury to his finger next month after having to withdraw from a scheduled fight against with Joe Joyce last month. Sky Sports reports Whyte will make an appearance on a June 7 card that features Fabio Wardley’s interim WBA heavyweight title fight with Justis Huni that will take place at Portman Road Football Ground in Ipswich.
Whyte has been out of action since a December 2024 win over Ebenezer Tetteh and was since targeted for a big fight with Joe Joyce, but after he was forced to withdraw from that scheduled fight after he suffered that injury during training camp. That led to Joyce instead taking on Filip Hrgovic in Whyte’s place, who ultimately took a decision win over Joyce.
No opponent has been announced at this time for Whyte, but given the fight date is only a few weeks away you can assure yourself it will be another soft touch as Whyte looks to angle his way into another fight with Anthony Joshua.
