Boxing legend George Foreman's net worth derives from his successful career selling grills, not just from his time in the ring.

Foreman, who died on March 21, 2025, at the age of 76, had a net worth of around $300 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

He earned relatively little of it by boxing. Celebrity Net Worth reported that Foreman earned just $5 million as a boxer from 1969 through 1977. In fact, the site reports that Foreman was broke when he left boxing, but he rebuilt a fortune through his George Foreman grill, which became a craze because it promised to press the grease out of burgers, making them healthier to eat.

Foreman's family shared a family statement announcing Foreman's death on his Instagram page.

"Our hearts are broken. With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved George Edward Foreman Sr. who peacefully departed on March 21, 2025, surrounded by loved ones," the family wrote.

"A devout preacher, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grand and great grandfather, he lived a life marked by unwavering faith, humility, and purpose.A humanitarian, an Olympian, and two time heavyweight champion of the world, He was deeply respected — a force for good, a man of discipline, conviction, and a protector of his legacy, fighting tirelessly to preserve his good name— for his family," the statement noted." A cause of death was not released.
