Shakur Stevenson says he’s still ready to face Gervonta Davis after Davis’ draw with Lamont Roach.

Shakur Stevenson decided to take the high road in his ongoing beef with Gervonta “Tank” Davis, following Davis’ extremely controversial draw tonight with Lamont Roach.

Stevenson, who holds the WBC lightweight title, said he’s still interested in a unification match with Davis, who still has the WBA belt.

“(I ain’t even going to) shit on dude like he would do me,” Stevenson posted on social media. “But I’m still ready and willing to fight, let’s make it happen.”

Stevenson did crow just a bit about placing a $5,000 bet on the fight going the distance, and the fight, in fact, playing out a lot like Stevenson had predicted that it would.

Davis (30-0-1, 28 KO) and Stevenson (23-0, 11 KO) squaring off is still an intriguing and pretty big fight, if one that could be truly dreadful to watch, but there is more money now in a rematch between Davis and Roach (25-1-2, 10 KO), and both fighters said immediately that they want to run it back.
