Redneck Brawl 9: Live updates and results
Tonight, Redneck Brawl 9 takes over Knoxville, Tennessee! Bad Left Hook has live coverage!
Full results and recap!
No disrespect to Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol, but the real greatest show in boxing history is the quarterly Redneck Brawl, which ventures to Knoxville, Tennessee tonight for the very first time to bring us Redneck Brawl 9: Appalachian Throwdown!
The show is available as a streaming pay-per-view at RedneckBrawl.tv for $22.99, and starts at 8:00 pm ET. The show can be watched on a conventional TV through Roku, Apple TV, and FireTV.
These shows are my favorite live coverage events in the entire boxing and boxing-ish universe. Last time around at Brawl #8 in Cincinnati, we saw over two dozen fights, an in-ring proposal (she said “yes!”), and a riot-level melee in the audience.
Tonight, the main event features Redneck Brawl regulars Georgia Outlaw and Tennessee Cornbread in what promises to be an active, violent war. Fan favorite Macho Man, an undefeated entertainer if not necessarily unblemished in the ring, returns to make his light heavyweight debut after a one-Brawl hiatus that was spent acclimating to a multiple weight class jump. Lil Smokey, Meth Mountain Maniac, Redneck Reaper, and Taylor from the Trailer are among the other familiar faces in the lineup.
Among the newcomers are brawlers with nicknames like Sudafed Crashout, Nashville NyQuil, Perc 30, Holler Colossus, and King Diabetic. We’ve got a 300 lbs. comedienne nicknamed Baked Bean, and two guys nicknamed “Big Bad John” fighting each other, presumably for rights to the moniker. Not enough Big Bad Johns for you? Well, there’s a third Big Bad John fighting later on the show, in a matchup that combines for over 13’ of height and 675 lbs. And, as long as the probation officer for Slushy Mouth doesn’t change his mind... We’ll see a man fighting in an ankle monitor again!
We’ll have updates, results, and highlights in the stream below:
