Tyson on fighting someone over 30 years younger than him
“You see what you do for a living, ya’ll guys? Do you think a guy 30 years your junior can do it better than you? Alright. Ok.”
On Paul’s fan base who did watch him growing up, and don’t know what he brings to the table
“If they never seen might fights, they missed a hell of a legacy. And Friday night they can look forward to that man Jake Paul get beaten bad...my intention is to knock him out.”
On fighting two minute rounds against Paul
“That’s okay. My quickest knockout is eight seconds, so that’s okay.”
On the ulcer that forced a postponement and how he is now
“Forget about that, I’m good now. Everything’s healed up and I’m ready to fight. That’s all that matters...that was the past, there’s nothing that’s going to hinder me from beating Jake Paul.”
On Paul’s biggest weakness in the ring
“I think his weakness is getting in the ring with me...He has the right to be confident, everybody has the right to be confident but I just think it’s a false sense of security against me.”
On his penchant for intimidating opponents before the fight and whether that will work against Paul
“I don’t really look forward to my persona intimidating people. I look forward to my fist smashing their face, allowing them to get intimidated. That’s the most intimidating thing, getting closer to death.”
