Alexander Krassyuk hopes Tyson Fury doesn’t once again delay the undisputed heavyweight unification.

As we head towards an upcoming undisputed heavyweight title unification between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk on May 18, Usyk’s promoter Alexander Krassyuk tells Sky Sports that he hopes Fury takes every precaution possible to ensure that they don’t once again have to postpone the fight.

Fury had previously suffered a cut in sparring that punted the bout from February after already having been moved off a December date, and considering how long it took to negotiate the fight to begin with, they’re hoping to finally get the one on with.

“I do hope that Tyson will wear his helmet, his protective gear this time and not injure his eyebrow or whatever he could injure, and that this time the fight on May 18 will go the way it should have gone in December and then in February,” Krassyuk told Sky Sports. “It’s the fight of a lifetime. The whole world is waiting for it. Let’s pray for Tyson and expect that the guy enters the ring.”

As far as Usyk goes, Krassyuk believes he’s in perfect shape for the fight and their only concern is whether or not Fury shows up. Krassyuk also says the discipline of Usyk far exceeds that of Fury, and that will be Usyk’s biggest weapon going into the fight, not to mention his natural ability.

Should all go according to plan, we’ll soon have an undisputed heavyweight king for the first time since Lennox Lewis accomplished the feat 25 years ago.
