White says Paul’s ‘15 minutes’ will soon be up, uninterested in cross-promotion bout

Dana White is not interested in doing business with Jake Paul.

UFC president Dana White is adamant that he will never do business with Jake Paul despite the latter’s increasing fame in the world of combat sports.

Paul has called out just about everyone on the UFC roster despite never having fought in MMA and has become one of the most hated personalities in the sport. The YouTube star turned pro boxer has disrupted the fight game like no other and has ruffled some serious feathers, recently receiving death threats from Floyd Mayweather Jr. after stealing ‘TBE’s’ hat at the Logan Paul/Mayweather media conference in Miami.

Several UFC fighters have volunteered to give Paul a good beating in the boxing ring, but White is refusing to play ball.

“First of all, I would never do business with those guys, just no,” White said in a recent interview with ESPN (h/t MMA Junkie). “No, this is not what we do. I’m not gonna f—ing loan them a guy for f—ing what? There’s no way. You got plenty of f—ing goofballs out there that you can muster up to get in there and play these games that these guys are playing. Yeah, I’m not your guy.”

White admits Paul has done a good job building his brand and making a name for himself but insists the YouTube star’s 15 minutes of fame are almost up.

“Listen, you cannot deny the fact that this kid has inserted himself into the conversation with real guys,” White said. “This guy has got three fights, and I gotta tell you that I don’t know if I truly believe the Ben Askren thing. I have a hard time wrapping by brain around that.

“Let’s see how long it takes before this kid’s 15 minutes are up, but they are being smart. They are keeping him away from anybody that could actually really do damage. I don’t know. The Ben Askren thing still blows my mind.”

Paul last fought at Triller Fight Club in April, when he KO’d former UFC fighter Ben Askren in the first round. The social media personality claims 1.5 million people tuned in to watch the fight which, if true, makes it one of the most successful pay-per-view events of the year.
