Guerfi-McGregor, McKinson-Harkin headline pair of MTK Global shows

Lee McGregor will get a shot at the European bantamweight title and much more.

MTK Global are keeping their growing roster busy in the United Kingdom, as the company have set two more shows, one for Sunday, Oct. 18, and another for Wednesday, Nov. 11.

The Oct. 18 main event will be a meeting between unbeaten welterweights Michael McKinson (18-0, 2 KO) and Martin Harkin (13-0, 5 KO), with former flyweight title challenger Jay Harris (17-1, 9 KO) returning in the co-feature to defend his Commonwealth title against Marcel Braithwaite (9-2, 0 KO).

Also featured on that card will be former bantamweight titleholder Paul Butler (31-2, 15 KO), who faces Ryan Walker (11-2, 2 KO), welterweight Jack Rafferty (12-0, 7 KO) in his MTK debut, and the pro debuts for Jordan Reynolds and Paul McCullagh.

The Nov. 11 main event will see top prospect Lee McGregor (9-0, 7 KO) look to add another title to his impressive collection. The 23-year-old has already won the British and Commonwealth bantamweight titles, and he’ll face Karim Guerfi (29-4, 9 KO) of France in an effort to add the European championship. The 33-year-old Guerfi won that title for a third time in Nov. 2019 against Georges Ory. He’s a solid veteran fighter for the level.

That show will also see Sultan Zaurbek (9-0, 7 KO) taking on Jeff Ofori (10-3-1, 3 KO) in a junior lightweight bout, junior middleweight Tursynbay Kulakhmet (1-0, 1 KO) making his return after a successful pro debut in August, Sahir Iqbal (8-0, 1 KO) facing Jamie Robinson (10-4-1, 3 KO) in a welterweight bout, unbeaten junior middleweights Inder Bassi (2-0, 0 KO) and Jack Martin (3-0, 0 KO) squaring off, and the pro debut of Hassan Azim.

Both cards will stream on ESPN+ in the United States.
